About Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)
The Primary school leaving examination PSLE is the examination which tests students to be ready for secondary education. The exam results are in average grades, average A, B, C, D and E.

The Examination Calendar
- PSLE is administered from the second week of September to the first week of October every year. This year the examination was conducted on 5th October 2022

The objectives of PSLE
The goals of PSLE are as follows below:-
- to assess learner’s skills and knowledge gained in the different subjects at the primary school level;
- to evaluate learners’ understanding of the basic skills and abilities in reading, writing, and arithmetic and the extent that they can use such skills in solving pertinent problems in life; and
- identify learners with the capacity to continue with secondary education and other training institutions.
Eligibility of Candidates who Seat for the Examination
- The exam is eligible for all pupils from either government or private schools.
Examined Subjects/Courses
- The examined subjects at PSLE are Hisabati (Mathematics), English Language, Sayansi (Science), Maarifa ya Jamii (Social Studies), and Kiswahili.

- After accessing the NECTA website, click the menu button on the top menu or bar.

- Or after visiting the NECTA website, you will see the Announcement of releasing NECTA PLSE Examinations Results.
- Open announcement to see all Examinations Results of each region
- Open the region to choose District and school where you want to view the Results, particularly students.
What Qualifications for Form One Selection 2023
Form one selection is a list of candidates selected to join different government Secondary schools after the release of Matokeo ya Darasa la Saba. It’s only for students who passed The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) announced by NECTA. The students selected are those with pass grade averages from A to C.
